New! The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation recently released a video about the Common Core State Standards which presents the facts about how the standards were written, adopted, and are being implemented by 44 states.

Alabama College- & Career-Ready Standards (CCRS): By combining both Common Core and Alabama's standards, our state has adopted one of the most comprehensive sets of standards in the nation, ensuring students are prepared for a successful future in the ever-expanding global environment.

Produced by the National PTA, these Parents' Guides to Student Success are based on the new Common Core State Standards, which have been adopted by more than 40 states. These K–6th standards are informed by the highest state standards from across the country. If your child is meeting the expectations outlined in these standards, he or she will be well prepared for the next grade.
