Assistant Principal Leslie Cross
Becoming the Assistant Principal at Owens Cross Roads School is a dream come true. I am a product of a county school system and am very proud to be “paying back” to our young people, their parents and the community.
This is my second career, my first being a stay-at-home mom caring for my family. I began teaching 4-yr, Pre-k and loved it. I could no longer ignore my calling as an educator and returned to school to pursue my Master's Degree in Education. I taught fourteen years at New Market School. Math, Science and History were my content areas. I expanded my sphere of influence and became an Instructional Coach at Madison County Elementary School. I love learning and recently finished my Administrative Certificate from Samford University.
I am the wife of Sammy Cross, the mother of five children and grandmother to four, beautiful grandchildren. My goal in life is to be a life long learner and instill in others a love of learning.
